About Alisha Katz

I've been working in the mental health fiels since 1998, after earning my Masters of Social Service from Bryn Mawr College.  Over the years, I've supported individuals and families through foster care, special needs, financial assistance, crisis management, and private practice.

My professional journey has given me a deep appreciation for the strength and resilience people bring to their struggles. I've completed extensive training in mindfulness and mediation, crisis management, depression and anxiety treatment, LGBTIA +support, DBT and CPT trainings and grief and loss.

I provide compassionate counseling for individuals and families facing anxiety, depression, and self esteem challenges. My work focuses on helping clients navigate complicated family systems, inner conflicts, and interpersonal struggles with clarity and resilience. As a dedicated ally of the LGBTQ plus community, I have a special passion for supporting individuals and their families as they work through the unique challenges of gender and sexual identity, acceptance, and belonging in a world that can feel unkind.

Life is full of transitions- some planned, others unexpected. Whether you're trying to accept your child/children where they are, coping with divorce, grief and loss, illness, career change, a move, marriage, or the challenges of midlife, I provide a supportive space to help you navigate change with clarity and confidence. Together, we'll work to manage stress, process emotions, and find renewed balance as you move forward in the next chapter of your life.

My approach is ground in empathy, respect, and a belief in each person's capacity for growth and healing.
